  Recently catch the movie 881 by Royston Tan...i think almost every singaporean went to watch. Especially aunties & uncles love cos throughout the whole show, 80% are in hokkien. My mum is a hokkien, so that explain why i know hw to listen...i alws think that speaking hokkien is kind of rude bt when watching this move hearing the actress Liu Lingling speak hokkien and those hokkien songs...i find it actuali hokkien songs are nt that bad and even have meanings in the lyrics. Papaya Sisters perform veri well, i feel im like watching a real 'getai' show. A pity is that Qi Yu Wu was suppose to act as a mute if not im sure he will reali make his role more interesting. Though this show did not reali touched me, a lot of comments said is a touching show bt i didn't cry...so i think this is the point where the director can work hard on it. Still it reflects all those unhappiness where we couldn't see in real life, when they went on stage they still perform well.
